Realtor InformationWelcome to Inverness
These are exciting times in Inverness. Shelby County contracted the design of the Inverness Greenway from Valleydale Road to the Inverness office complex. You probably noticed the survey stakes and flagging along the parkway. The City of Hoover is working on trails in The Inverness Nature Park. The greenway will go thorough the nature park. The City of Hoover and Shelby County have worked together to build Veterans Park at Spain Park. We are told that reconstruction of Valleydale Road will begin before the end of the year.
The new Inverness Country Club (ICC) clubhouse has been completed along with new tennis courts and an expansion of the tennis clubhouse. It is the opinion of the IMHA that a strong ICC will enhance Inverness's ability to attract new residents and well maintained Inverness neighborhoods will enhance membership opportunities for the ICC.
Hoover's new Spain Park High School and Middle School and Shelby County's new Oak Mountain High School and Middle School are all highly rated and their facilities are second to none. A new building for the Jefferson State Community College expands educational opportunities for recent high school graduates and adult education.
As commuters feel the squeeze from high gas prices, Inverness is the first community in Shelby County on Highway 280 outside Birmingham City.
I cannot help but think that Inverness will only increase its desirability as a community in which to purchase a home to raise a family. The IMHA Board is doing its part for maintaining the high standards of Inverness neighborhoods by administering neighborhood covenants.
Boothby Realty is the management company for the Inverness Master Homeowners Association (IMHA). One of the tasks in their contract is administering compliance of the covenants. You may contact Boothby with any questions you may have at 205 980-0631.
Placing "For Sale" Signs in Inverness
Taylor and Mathis, the management company for Met Life, established rules for placing signs at neighborhood entrances on Inverness Parkway. They permitted signing from Friday 4:00 P.M. to Sunday 6:00 P.M. At 8:00 A.M. Monday morning, their crews gathered and disposed of all remaining signs. Although this was an unwritten policy, Realtors abided by the policy.
The IMHA added that no signs be placed on the side of the road of the neighborhood entry rather place the signs on the opposite side of the parkway from the entry. The objective being to maintain beautiful neighborhood entries free of multiple signs to maintain the beauty of the entry and protect the irrigation and electrical systems.
The Inverness Master Homeowners Association continues this policy following the departure of Met Life and Taylor and Mathis.
